Summer Supervisor for Youth Interns

Are you a responsible and committed person who wants to help provide youth with valuable experience and tools for the future? Then you might be one of our new supervisors who will lead our summer interns!

At Stockholmshem, as a municipal housing company, we have an important mission to offer youth aged 16-19 a positive experience of working life through summer job opportunities.

Every summer, we welcome youth interns who work for a few weeks on various tasks related to our property management, much of the work takes place outdoors and in the common areas of the properties. This year, we will welcome over 100 youth during a period of 3 weeks.

Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the daily supervision of your group of youth interns
• Planning and follow-up of tasks in dialogue with the responsible area manager
• Collaborate and cooperate with other supervisors at Stockholmshem
• You are responsible for ensuring that the interns have a clear understanding of the tasks you will perform together
• You are responsible for daily follow-up based on the purpose and goals of the tasks
• Provide feedback on the interns' work efforts and support in practical aspects
• Introduce the interns and evaluate their work
• Report on the hours worked by the interns

You will be part of the management area where the interns are placed and report to the responsible area manager.

Before the interns arrive, you will have a preparation period of about a week where you will receive an introduction to the company, supervision, the tasks, and handling of the administrative duties involved in the supervisory role. You will also work for about a week after the interns' last day with evaluation and follow-up related to the interns' employment. Your total employment period is about 5 weeks, from June 3 to July 10.

Who are you?

As a person, you are communicative and have the ability to create participation and trust within your workgroup. You are used to solving challenges through collaboration and have a good ability to lead both yourself and others in an inspiring and engaging manner.

Your Background:

• High school education or equivalent experience in working life, preferably in customer or service sectors.
• Good experience in a leadership role from, for example, associations or organizational life.
• Driver's license (B)

Experience working with youth is an advantage.
